Nama Sustainability Program
Sustainability is at the heart of Nama Fiji. Our wild Nama harvesting programme was created to protect this unique ocean resource while providing meaningful opportunities for women in the Yasawa Islands.
Our Commitment to Sustainability
We work closely with local communities in Fiji to ethically harvest nama, a naturally regenerating sea grape found in the pristine waters of the Yasawa Islands. This process supports rural Fijian women through training and employment, while protecting the delicate marine ecosystems they rely on.
Our goal is simple
to create powerful, effective skincare while caring for both people and the planet.
Ethical Ingredients & Responsible Sourcing
We use naturally derived ingredients such as seaweed, coconut oil, and shea butter, all carefully selected for their effectiveness and minimal environmental impact.
All Nama Fiji products are vegan and cruelty free, with a strong focus on skin-safe, clean formulations.
Sustainable Packaging
We are continuously improving how we package our products to reduce waste and environmental impact.
Our approach focuses on using post-consumer recycled plastic to minimise landfill waste, incorporating glass and bamboo components that can be recycled and reused, and exploring biodegradable, low-impact materials wherever possible.
We also support refill options to help reduce packaging and encourage long-term reuse.
Protecting Forests & Reducing Our Impact
We are committed to protecting the world’s forests and natural ecosystems by working closely with our suppliers to ensure our paper and packaging never come from endangered or harmful sources. We prioritise responsibly managed materials and continuously review our supply chain to uphold these standards.
At the same time, we are always looking for ways to reduce our environmental footprint. This includes minimising packaging, increasing the use of recycled materials, exploring alternative fibres, and moving towards more low-waste and digital practices.
